The magnificent set of 18 dessert plates presented by the town of Derby to the Duke of York and Princess Victoria Mary of Teck (subsequently King George V & Queen Mary) was designed and largely decorated by the factory's foremost artist, Desire Leroy. Leroy was assisted in the decoration by F Williams, Jack Dale, George Hemstock and J Rogers.
